"Our members are always asking, 'When is the next competition?' … There's no central place for competition information. Now, it lives within Gymdesk, which they already use. When a coach can send a student a direct invite to register, it's so much easier. It also gives them a confidence boost that makes them want to keep training."

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to connect Smoothcomp to plan a team’s competitions?

You can browse events, endorse them and invite your members before connecting. Registering members and seeing who has registered require the connection, which takes about two minutes and can be undone any time.

Which events can I endorse?

Any event in the Smoothcomp catalog. In-house showcases, gradings and events run on other platforms are not in the catalog, so they cannot be endorsed and their results do not reach the member record.

Who pays the entry fees?

Each member pays their own. You complete the registration and they get the payment link, so the academy never fronts anyone’s entry fee.

Can I control which coaches can connect or disconnect?

Not at launch. Any coach who can reach Settings can connect or disconnect for the whole academy. Disconnecting does not delete anything already synced, it just stops updating.

How current is the registration data?

It syncs on a schedule rather than instantly, and Gymdesk shows you when it last updated.
